Al-Shabaab has released a statement stating that one of its former leaders has died of illness in Jilib.
The militant group reported the death of Mohamed Hassan Anshour aka Abu Abdirahman.
According to the terrorist organization, Anshour died in Jilib on Thursday, November 24.
The terrorists added that Anshour had been sick for a while before succumbing to the illness in the evening.
Anshour had been the organization’s Waalli for Mogadishu and the entire Banadir region.
