Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility over the recent bomb attack that targeted several semior officers of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
The attack took place on January 10, 2021.
On Sunday, a Luuq District Commissioner (DC) and police chief were ambushed while traveling to Dolow district.
On Tuesday, Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for this attack.
They informed the world that they were involved in the attempt on the lives of the senior regional officials.
Al-Shabaab militants rely on this modus operandi.
For years, they have targeted senior government and security officers as well as civilians with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
