The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) is still assessing aftermath of the daring attack at a military base in Bulo Marer.
ATMIS issued a statement confirming that Al-Shabaab militants attacked their base in the southern Somalia town on Friday morning.
The dawn attack claimed the lives of 137 ATMIS soldiers, according to Al-Shabaab.
However, ATMIS is yet to confirm the exact number of casualties that they suffered in the attack.
The military organization has vowed to issue a more detailed report on the deadly incident after assessing everything.
