The residents of Beledweyne spent much of Wednesday night in fear as terrorists constantly rocked their city with mortar attacks.
Beledweyne, the capital of the Hiiraan region, was full of shocked residents locking themselves in their houses throughout the night.
Specifically, the most affected area was Hawa Tako.
Unconfirmed reports added that countless civilians were injured in the attack, which lasted much of the night.
It is believed that Al-Shabaab used the mortar attacks to remind residents of its presence.
