The construction of the modern Dhahar Regional Market, which has been funded by the Norwegian government, is almost complete.
When opened, Dhahar Regional Market would hold more than 100 shops and stalls.
It would also be an important center of trade by the local communities.
The market is scheduled to be open soon to serve communities in the neighboring regions of Sool and Sanaag.
It is the latest project in a partnership involving the Norwegian Embassy in Somalia, which is based in Nairobi, and local authorities.
