President Said Abdullahi Deni of Somalia’s semiautonomous region of Puntland visited the offices of the Upper House on Thursday.
Deni is in Mogadishu for talks with President Ahmed Madobe of Jubbaland and President Mohamed Farmaajo of the Federal Government of Somalia.
Since Tuesday, Deni and Madobe have been in the nation’s capital though the meeting with Farmaajo is yet to take off as earlier scheduled.
On September 3, he visited the Senate and pledged to support the Upper House in its differences with the Lower House.
Deni expressed his gratitude to the Upper House for the support it continues to extend to the Federal Member States, which Puntland and Jubbaland are a part of.
The Lower House has waged a war with the FMS thus does not enjoy the backing of Deni or any other regional leader.
