Dozens of Al-Shabaab terrorists were killed in an operation that Somali National Army (SNA) held jointly with National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
SNA and NISA joined forces to conduct the operation in Lower Shabelle.
A statement from the federal Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism shows that the operation was on November 22.
Afterward, 49 terrorists lost their lives as the military engaged them in a fierce gun battle.
The operation was in Bulo-Madino, a village in Lower Shabelle.
According to the information ministry, the operation also attracted support from some of Somalia’s international partners on security.
