Souef Mohamed El-Amine discussed the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) with the Charge d’Affaires at the United States Embassy in Mogadishu.
El-Amine, the ATMIS chief, met with Shane Dixon, the US Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires, on Wednesday.
El-Amine held the talks in his capacity as the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC).
Further, they discussed the post-ATMIS security plans as well, as per the latest communique from the organization and the Embassy.
El-Amine took the opportunity to introduce Suvuyile Thandikhaya Bam to the rest.
Bam, a South African diplomat, took over from Kiki Gbohe as the Deputy SRCC earlier this week.
