Family of Deceased Somali Comedian Remove His Remains from Mogadishu Grave

The family of a deceased Somali comedian exhumed and removed his remains from the burial site in Mogadishu.

Reports from the capital city indicate that the family of the late Abdi Muridi Ajakis, a popular and prominent comedian and artist, removed his remains on Saturday.

Apparently, they intend to bury him elsewhere.

Ajakis had been forcefully buried at a graveyard next to Mogadishu’s Police Academy.

However, his relatives believe that the graveyard where he had been buried is about to undergo significant construction works soon.

Ajakis died and was buried at the site three years ago.
