Health Ministry Warns of Rising COVID-19 Cases in Somaliland

Somaliland’s Ministry of Health Development has warned of rising cases of COVID-19 around the country.

The health ministry issued a warning on October 15 urging the people of Somaliland to watch out for the dangers of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Omar Ali Amoud, the Minister of Health, informed the public that the reemergence of COVID-19 is not limited to Somaliland alone.

Instead, he stated that countries all around the world have been reporting increased cases in the last few weeks of the winter season.

Consequently, Amoud encouraged the people of Somaliland to observe measures such as social distancing and regular washing of hands with soap and water to curb the spread of the disease.
