A federal legislator from the regional state of HirShabelle visited the area on Sunday to assess the humanitarian situation on the ground.
Abdirahman Mohamed, who represents HirShabelle in the federal parliament, visited Bal’ad district, Middle Shabelle.
He was in the company of officials from the local administration.
Mohamed also spent time monitoring the security situation and the ongoing offensive operations against Al-Shabaab militants.
