The regional state of HirShabelle has received emergency food relief from the federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
HirShabelle’s State Drought Response Committee received the food supplies on behalf of the regional state.
A statement from the drought committee indicates that the food supplies would benefit more than 608,580 people in HirShabelle.
