HIV Cases on the Rise in Mogadishu, Says Mayor Madale

The Mayor of Mogadishu claims that the number of HIV/AIDS in the capital city and the surrounding regions has risen substantially.

Mayor Yusuf Madale said that teenagers and young people are the most affected demography.

The Mayor said this on Thursday during a press interview.

Consequently, he appealed to stakeholders in the health sector to intervene fast to prevent the situation from worsening.

He also issued a warning to hospitals that put more emphasis on profits while ignoring their patients.
