Countries in the Horn of Africa region expect humanitarian assistance worth over $12 million from Qatar.
The Qatari Fund for Development pledged the funds jointly with Qatari Charity.
They offered the Horn of Africa these funds during the high-level pledging event for humanitarian response in the HoA.
Specifically, the funds would help – among others – Somalis affected by the drought that has devastated the country for around 3-5 years now.
