Currently, the politicians are meeting for the fourth straight day.

They have formed a Union of Somali Presidential Candidates for the 2020-2021 Elections.

Consequently, the leaders have agreed to elect ex-President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed their Chairperson. Hussein Abdi Halane, a former Somalia Minister of Finance, has been elected the Secretary.

A former Deputy Prime Minister, Ridwan Hirsi, has been appointed the group’s spokesperson.

The leaders are meeting to seek common grounds and eliminate the differences that make it hard for them to work together.
