Somali Police Force (SPF) launched an intense security operation in Jowhar last night.
Several police officers were deployed in the region to launch a security operation following a deadly Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion on January 3, 2021.
The IED blast claimed the lives of three people in the nearby Bal’ad area on Sunday.
Afterward, security agencies in the region launched an operation designed to identify and apprehend the parties responsible for the deadly blast.
Local residents were stopped on the road and checked for weapons.
Police officers also stopped cars along the roads for impromptu checks.
