Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has welcomed the decision by the European Union to extend budgetary support to Somalia.
The Prime Minister expressed delight at the news that EU has approved budgetary support worth €20.5 million to Somalia.
Tiina Intelmann, the EU Ambassador to Somalia, announced the budgetary support on Thursday.
A day later, the Prime Minister issued a statement welcoming this development.
He assured the EU that Somali government would utilize the funds judiciously to achieve the intended goals and objectives.
