Puntland has received encouragement to re-engage in state-building.
International donors urged President Said Abdullahi Deni, the leader of the regional state of Puntland, to rejoin state-building efforts.
They issued this appeal on Monday during a meeting held in Nairobi.
Representatives from the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, the World Bank, the European Union (EU), and others issued this appeal.
They urged Puntland to take part in the National Consultative Council (NCC) in Baidoa.
