Somali National Army (SNA) has liberated four more villages in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle.
SNA forces carried out an operation in the villages to get rid of Al-Shabaab militants who have repeatedly terrorized locals.
Abdullahi Ali Anod, a spokesperson for the federal Ministry of Defense, confirmed the seizure of the four villages in a media briefing on Saturday.
Anod mentioned the villages as Gulane, Mabah, Harga-Dhere, and Darusalam.
Six militants were killed in the Middle Shabelle operation.
Another 10 Al-Shabaab fighters died during the military operation that SNA forces carried out in Hiiraan.
