The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has deployed truckloads of humanitarian supplies to a village in the regional state of HirShabelle.
SODMA released 10 trucks carrying tons of supplies to Eji village in HirShabelle on Friday.
The village was the scene of recent deadly clashes between militia from various clans in the regional state.
Hundreds of people from the village have been forced to flee their homes.
They now reside in internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps where the situation is grave, especially for children, women, and the elderly.
Their situation has been worsened by the heavy rains and subsequent floods.
