The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) has intensified relief efforts in the country in the wake of heavy rains.
SODMA has been working closely with global allies since the rains started on April 19.
Thus far, the rains and the subsequent floods have claimed seven lives around the country.
It has displaced more than 5,100 individuals and households.
According to SODMA, the rains have affected the daily activities of roughly 124,150 people.
Federal Member States (FMS) that SODMA has prioritized with its interventions include HirShabelle, Jubbaland, and Southwest.
