The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has vowed to protect the rights of workers.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre made this vow on the International Labour Day on May 1.
He commended the workers for the dedication displayed in their jobs.
“The hard work of Somali workers continues to fuel the progress and recovery of our nation,” said Prime Minister Barre in his speech.
He added that the government would not rest until it expands job opportunities for Somali youth.
