Somalia’s Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism traveled to Turkey to attend the launch of TRT Afrika.
TRT Afrika is a new digital news platform that TRT, Turkey’s public broadcaster, will be running.
The service was launched on Friday.
Daud Aweis, the Somali minister, joined his colleagues from Turkey and other African nations to witness the launch.
TRT Afrika will on stories from the African continent.
It will highlight different stories using languages spoken on the African continent such as English, French, Swahili, and Hausa.
