Somali Parliament to Debate Procedural Rules for Constitutional Changes

Legislators in the federal parliament of Somalia will meet on Wednesday to debate the procedural rules for making constitutional changes.

Legislators from both chambers of parliament are set to discuss the rules.

They are also scheduled to discuss the processes and procedures to follow when voting for or against any constitutional change.

Procedures and processes regarding referendums are also on the menu.

Thus far, parliamentarians are united in stating that the constitution will remain provisional until issues regarding Somaliland and Somali regions are discussed and agreed upon fully.
