Somali Pirates Release Hijacked Bangladeshi Vessel after Receiving $5 Million Ransom

Somali pirates released a Bangladeshi hijacked they hijacked a few weeks ago after receiving ransom worth $5 million.

They released the vessel known as MV Abdulla with its entire crew of 25 on Sunday morning.

Abdirashid Yusuf, who is one of the pirates, confirmed that they received the ransom amount two nights ago.

He added that the pirates then divided the money among themselves before going their separate ways.

There has been no confirmation from any government official.
