Somali students have been urged to apply for jobs and careers with the United Nations.
The students received this encouragement when they attended the UN Job Fair held in Mogadishu.
The job fair, which was on Wednesday, attracted students from leading universities in Somalia.
Officials from various UN agencies operating in the country were at the fair encouraging students.
Catriona Laing, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the UN, addressed them too.
She commented on the crucial role Somali staff play in the UN agencies for whom they work.
According to Laing, the progress made by the UN in developing the country is because of the contribution of Somalis working for its agencies.
