Somalia and UNHCR to Collaborate on Sudan Crisis

Somalia and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will collaborate on the Sudan crisis.

Mariam Yassin and Kristine Hambrouck agreed on this when they met in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

Yassin is the Special Presidential Envoy for Migration, Returnees, and Children’s Rights while Hambrouck is the Acting Director of the UNHCR Regional Bureau in Somalia.

Yassin expressed gratitude to UNHCR for the assistance it has offered Somalia over the years.

However, they dedicated plenty of time to discuss different ways of enhancing collaboration on the troubling crisis in Sudan.
