Somalia Concerned over Latest Developments in the Middle East

Somalia has expressed “deep concern” over the latest developments in the Middle East.

Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Somalia urged all parties to de-escalate the situation.

Over the weekend, Iran hurled missiles to Israel.

However, Israel was able to block over 99 percent of the missiles.

Iran took the decision in response to the recent move by Israel to attack its consulate in Damascus, Syria on April 1.

Somalia asked all parties to exercise maximum restraint.

Furthermore, the East African nation encouraged Israel to cease all ongoing attacks in Gaza.
