Somalia’s intention at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) has been laid bare.
Daud Aweis, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, stated that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud would appeal for global action over the effects of the ongoing floods in the country.
President Mohamud already departed for and arrived in Dubai for COP28.
Aweis added that the President would ask the international community to act immediately to tackle the devastating effects of climate change.
According to the information minister, ongoing floods have devastated Somalia.
