Somalia to Review IMF’s Extended Credit Facility Program

Somalia is ready to start reviewing the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Dr. Elmi M. Nur, the Minister of Finance, announced that the government had launched the 5th Review of the ECF program.

March 10 marked the first day of the review.

The government expects to discuss the progress of the domestic revenue mobilization with all the relevant stakeholders during the review.

Furthermore, stakeholders are to review public financial management and good governance.

Dr. Nur assured all stakeholders of the government’s steadfast commitment to national reforms in the financial sector.
