Somalia’s Auditor-General has released the 2021 Annual Audit Report.
The Office of the Auditor-General released the report on Tuesday, November 22.
In the report, the Auditor-General lays bare glaring lapses in the management of public funds in Somalia.
Specifically, the report shows huge discrepancies in the management of contracts.
Furthermore, the management of procurements and extra-budgetary assistance is not up to the required standard.
The Auditor-General also faulted the management of debt by government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).
