Somalia’s Ministry of Defense has a new official spokesperson.
Second Lieutenant Abukar Mohamed Hassan is the new spokesperson of the ministry.
His appointment by the ministry was made official on Wednesday.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the defense minister, announced Lt. Hassan’s appointment.
Nur said that Hassan takes over from Gen. Abdullahi Ali Aanod.
The minister commended Gen. Aanod for the exemplary service offered during his tenure.
