The Minister of Energy and Water Resources in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) held a closed door meeting with the Turkish Ambassador on January 15.
Hassan Abdinur Abdi, the energy minister, paid Ambassador Mehmet Yilmaz a courtesy call at the latter’s office in Mogadishu.
During their meeting, they discussed the importance of accelerating agreements between their respective countries.
Later, Ambassador Yilmaz spoke of his joy at meeting Somalia’s energy minister.
Yilmaz confirmed that he discussed “opportunities available for strengthening the cooperation between Somalia and Turkey.”
He also said that the two nations would embark on effective management of water resources and energy in Somalia.
