Taiwan’s Representative Office in Somaliland held its first National Day celebrations in Hargeisa on Wednesday, October 7.
More than 150 people were invited to the Representative Office.
Nine ministers in the government of President Muse Bihi Abdi were among the guests attending the celebrations.
Government officials, scholars, politicians, lawmakers, and representatives from the media and civic groups were invited too.
Allen Lou, the Head of the Taiwan’s Office in Somaliland, commended the thriving relationship between Somaliland and his country.
Hassan Mohamed Ali, Somaliland’s Minister of National Development, also addressed the gathering.
In his address, the national development minister stated that the two countries do not plan to rest until they improve diplomatic relations between them.
