Turkey is ready to embark on deep-sea oil drilling off the coastline of Somalia.
Alparslan Bayraktar, the Turkish Minister of Energy, revealed this on Friday during an interview with broadcaster NTV.
He added that the drilling would commence next year.
The announcement follows the recent offshore oil and natural gas exploration agreement that Somalia and Turkey signed last month.
