Ibrahim Kalin, Turkey’s spy chief, is in Mogadishu.
Kalin, who is the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), held talks with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
Their meeting took place at Villa Somalia.
They discussed ways of further strengthening the relations between Turkey and Somalia.
Furthermore, other issues that featured prominently in their talks included security, intelligence, and counter-terrorism measures.
Kalin and President Mohamud spoke about promoting regional stability too.
Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Hosh, the new National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) director, was also at the meeting.
