The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is ready to embark on an economic growth partnership with the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
This was revealed on Sunday during a meeting between Jibril Abdirashid Haji and Lionel Laurens.
Haji attended the meeting as Somalia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry.
He met with Laurens, who is the UNDP Resident Representative to Somalia, in Mogadishu.
Part of their discussions also focused on the development of the private sector in Somalia as a solution for creating more employment opportunities.
