US to Support Somalia’s Plans to Expand Aden Adde International Airport

The United States will support the plans by Somalia to expand the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.

A meeting held on Sunday between Fardowsa Osman Egal and Ambassador Larry Andre agreed on that.

Egal is the Somali Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.

Andre is the US Ambassador to Somalia.

The US Ambassador visited the transport minister at her offices for discussions on wide-ranging issues between the two nations.

Their discussions also touched on the expansion of other airports around the country.

Furthermore, the minister briefed the US Ambassador on aviation services around the country as well as the training of professionals within the aviation industry in Somalia.
