1.2 Million Somali Children at Risk of Malnutrition by December 31

More than 1.2 million children in Somalia are at risk of suffering malnourishment by December 31, 2021.

That’s according to the Save the Children Somalia.

On December 16, Save the Children published its latest report that mentioned the fourth consecutive failed rainy season in the East African nation.

The children’s organization stated that over 2.8 million people in Somalia living in 66 out of its 74 districts are experiencing drought and starvation.

Save the Children believes that almost half of this people are children.

Malnourishment could expose the Somali children to further health problems.
