One hundred police officers from the regional state of Jubbaland have concluded their basic recruit training.
African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) officers conducted the training, which lasted the last three months.
They graduated from the training on Monday, October 3.
ATMIS trainers expressed hope that the officers would now join Somali Police Force (SPF) to make it stronger and more effective.
Mohamud Sayid, the Deputy President of Jubbaland, presided over the graduation ceremony that took place in Kismayo.
