The Office of the Special Envoy for Stabilization and Civilian Protection has completed a three-day pre-deployment training for 100 security personnel from Jubbaland State.
The training aimed to equip them with the necessary skills to ensure civilian protection in newly liberated areas.
Their retraining ended on Wednesday.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance security and stability as territories are recovered from militant control.
By focusing on civilian protection, the training also aligns with Somalia’s ongoing mission to safeguard communities and maintain peace in conflict-affected regions.
