Adan-Yabal, HirShabelle State — In a well-coordinated operation, the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international security partners, successfully neutralized 12 Al-Shabaab terrorists, including senior operatives, in the Adan-Yabal district of HirShabelle State.
The intelligence-led offensive took place in a strategic area long used as a stronghold by the group. NISA sources confirmed that among those killed were key Al-Shabaab officials responsible for orchestrating attacks against civilians and government forces.
Security officials highlighted that the operation was a decisive step in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability to HirShabelle and surrounding regions. The partnership between Somali forces and international allies continues to produce significant victories against the militant group.
NISA reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorism across Somalia and protecting citizens from extremist threats.
