The Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education in Somalia is currently in the process of recruiting 3,000 teachers as part of its efforts to enhance youth employment and expand access to education across the country.
An announcement from the ministry indicates that it will recruit a final list of 3,000 teachers who would be posted to public schools around the country.
Out of a total of 26,570 applicants, including 21,083 men and 5,487 women, 12,670 candidates (9,546 men and 3,124 women) have successfully progressed to the written exam stage.
The final 3,000 would be obtained from the 12,670 who sit the written test this Saturday.
This recruitment drive is a significant step in improving educational infrastructure in Somalia, offering job opportunities to young people while also addressing the need for qualified teachers in the education sector.
