Fourteen Al-Shabaab terrorists surrendered to authorities in the regional state of Southwest.
The Al-Shabaab fighters surrendered to Somali National Army (SNA) forces who were in Baidoa on Friday evening.
Their surrender took place during President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s visit to the region.
President Mohamud arrived in Baidoa a few days ago.
The President visited the region specifically to supervise ongoing military operations against Al-Shabaab insurgents.
