161 Somalis Stranded in Libya Return Home

Somalia has successfully repatriated 161 citizens stranded in Libya, highlighting its commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of its diaspora.

The returnees arrived in Mogadishu on Thursday, where they were warmly received by Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, the federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other senior government officials.

This effort underscores Somalia’s dedication to assisting its citizens abroad, particularly those facing hardship, and is part of a broader initiative to address the challenges faced by vulnerable Somali migrants.
