Eighteen officers from the regional states of Jubaland and Galmudug completed training on criminal investigations on August 29.
The officers were part of a group attending the training funded by the United States Department of State.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) facilitated the actual training.
According to a press release from the US Embassy in Mogadishu, the training lasted 10 days.
Moreover, the US Embassy also indicated that the training was part of the Criminal Investigation Program that UNODC has organized for Somalia.
