18,000 People in Baidoa Can Now Access Safe Water

More than 18,000 people in Baidoa can now access safe water for their domestic and personal use.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) shared this news on Friday, August 26.

According to OCHA, the over 18,000 people can access water because of the joint efforts of different stakeholders.

OCHA has worked closely with Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) and ACF Somalia to provide the Baidoa residents with clean and safe water.

Apart from water, the people of Baidoa can access sanitation facilities too.

The residents have also undergone training to equip them with knowledge on the best hygiene practices to embrace to avoid a spike in disease outbreaks.
