2.3 Million People in Somalia are Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19

Around 2.3 million people in Somalia have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The federal Ministry of Health published the latest figures on August 31 indicating that the vaccination rates are continuously increasing.

This news follows the latest donation of COVID-19 vaccines.

On August 27, Somalia received 1,645,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

The doses were from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government of the Czech Republic.

Somalia has received millions of COVID-19 vaccines from the international community since last year to curb the spread of the disease and protect its citizens.
