Two separate attacks by Al-Shabaab militants were reported in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region on Thursday.
The first attack targeted Sabiid village, located several kilometers west of Afgoye town.
The second attack occurred near the K-50 military base, as Somali troops were deploying reinforcements to Sabiid in response to the initial assault.
Casualties, including fatalities, have been reported, though specific numbers remain unclear at this time.
