Somali National Army (SNA) has taken over a village that had been under the tight grip of Al-Shabaab terrorists for years.
SNA personnel carried out a successful operation jointly with members of the local community to liberate Ali-Helo village.
The operation was on Friday.
Reports show that the village, which is under the jurisdiction of Gal’ad town, is now back in government control.
Currently, government troops continue to force their way through different parts of Galmudug as part of operations designed to get rid of Al-Shabaab terrorists from the state.
